A mum has been left outraged after her 'entitled' mother-in-law stormed into the delivery room seconds before she gave birth to her twins. She explained how the midwives were forced to escort her out of the room while she protested about not being allowed to watch the birth.

Taking to Reddit, the woman – who had her husband and 13-year-old son with her at the hospital – said she was 'p*ssed off' that her mother-in-law tried to break into the delivery room while she was welcoming her twins.

She wrote: "I went into labour and was soon going to give birth to my precious twin boy and girl. My husband was excited to become a father of them and my son was proud to have siblings and I was ecstatic!

"We rushed to the hospital for the incoming of our children... My husband sat by my side while my son told me his goodbyes so he can wait outside the delivery room"

With that, her mother-in-law stormed into the room assuming she'd be allowed to stay and watch her give birth to her grandchildren.

She said: "My mother-in-law came into the room a minute before it was time to give birth so she had to make it quick, but shortly after her happiness became madness as she wasn't able to, 'see the birth of her grandchildren'.

"We told her that my husband is staying cause he is the father of them. She protested that she was the grandma so she should be in the delivery room... We asked for a nurse to escort her out of the room, and the nurse sure did."

But just three minutes after she gave birth, her mother-in-law came rushing into the room again. This time, she tried to snatch the twins from her and her husband's arms so she could cuddle them.

She added: "It was the best day of our life! My mother-in-law comes rushing eager to hold the children, we tell her that I need some bonding time with them. and mother-in-law causes a scene, loud enough for other people to hear.

"My mother-in-law screams almost makes the children cry. Which they were peacefully sleeping by then, We tell her to get out and to come back tomorrow, all the while she screamed and she was escorted out by security.

"I don't consider her crazy but she needs to change her act if she wants to see the twins."

Commenting on her post, one user said: "Your kids, your rules! I would be really tempted to go no contract, however that is your decision!!! Congratulations mama and pop!!! And a high five to your 13-year-old old for being a supportive big brother!"

Another user added: "I had a grandparent on my son's dads side do the same thing. My mum had stepped out and somehow this lady slipped in my delivery room and demanded they give me a C-section. I wasn’t even fully dilated at this time. She just had to get home and wanted to see my child before she left the hospital."

A third user added: "I don’t understand mother-in-laws that think they’re entitled to watch a newborn [being born]. What is there to watch? Ridiculous..."
